Dedicated coaches, coordinators, and parents:
Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey regarding the 2020-21 season. Based on your feedback, we have decided to cancel the 2020-2021 US Academic Triathlon season, and return for the 2021-2022 season. Two-thirds of our regular districts said even navigating some form of social distanced competition would be difficult. We understand and completely feel for all teachers and parents during this difficult year.
We know the decision to cancel the season will disappoint our participating students, parents, and coaches. But know that this decision was made with everyone’s safety in mind. Our commitment is always to the safety and enrichment of our triathletes, and we do not feel that can be successfully achieved this year at the high standards we owe to the students.
If you are interested in keeping up your students’ USAT skills, check out our sample Meet, blog, and practice materials. We will also add more resources to the blog throughout the year for teachers to use in their classrooms and for future coaches to use during practices.
We will miss you all this season, but wish everyone well and hope all stay healthy. We will be in touch again!
